Podcast: Ivybridge Repair Cafe

Can the Repair Cafe fix Liz’s broken chair?

*******

In this week’s ‘Everything Ivybridge’ Lucy Richards and Liz Scott are discovering what makes The Repair Cafe – Ivybridge at The Maker’s Mews – Ivybridge such a hive of activity.

The Repair Cafe is a not-for-profit community project, powered by awesome volunteers, generously giving their time and skills. Donations towards the running of the events are welcome, but not necessary.

Nadine Dommet and Anne mending cushion covers.
The Repair Cafe is open on the final Saturday of each month, bringing together skilled volunteers, tea, coffee, biscuits, cake and anyone who wants to bring along their broken thingamabobs.

Their aim is to save salvageable items headed for landfill, whilst sharing and learning skills, and meeting new people in our community.

You can just turn up on the day or contact them in advance.

Additionally, if you would like to join their cohort of volunteers, or if you have any questions, please contact repaircafe@thestore.community
